The same day the local glass shop was scheduled to come to... me to fix it. The glass shop called ahead, showed up promptly, and completed work thoroughly, yet quickly. I had a crack in my windshield. I first emailed CalTex, because I wasn't sure what to do. They instructed me to call the number and file a claim. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very kind, and actually seemed like... she wanted to help me (which is usually rare in these situations). CalTex took care of the problem, filed a claim on my behalf, and scheduled an appointment with Safelite to replace my windshield.
